Girls match v Brancaster Ladies - Sunday May 3rd
![]() |
Excellent day yesterday at Brancaster. The junior girls played singles match play with one of our main sponsors, the Ladies of Royal West Norfolk and won 5 ½ to ½ . The Ladies were very happy to see their money is being well spent, and they enjoyed seeing how far the girls hit the ball! The girls played exceptionally well in quite windy conditions, mastering the chip and runs and the tricky putting. |

| HOW TO GET A HANDICAP |
|
The CONGU Handicapping Scheme allows golfers of all ages to obtain a Handicap of up to 28 for men and 36 for ladies. This requires 3 cards over 18 holes to be submitted to the Club. If you are ready to acquire a handicap please contact your Lady Captain or Club Junior Organiser for assistance. The Congu Handicap System requires the completion of 18 holes, and although your golfing ability is progessing, you might not be able to achieve this.
The EGU/ELGA Handicapping Scheme allows juniors to obtain a handicap of up to 54 over 6 or 9 holes. This ensures you and your junior organiser can measure your progress over time even though you cannot complete 18 holes.
The Junior Handicap is not an official CONGU handicap, and holders cannot enter competitions organised for holders of these handicaps. However it does allow holders to compete against each other and encourages and motivates young players to improve. |
