 CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS 2012

Centenary Information

On the 31st July 1912 a meeting was held in the Norwich Library to inaugurate the Norfolk County Ladies Golf Club, it was attended by 15 ladies.  The inaugural clubs were Hunstanton, Great Yarmouth, Mundesley, Royal Norwich and Sheringham and the individual subscription was half a crown.    And so started the association we know today.

Centenary AM-AM

The celebrations start with the Centenary AM-AM on Thursday April 26th at Eaton and we are staying with the format that has proved so successful over the last few years. Click here for results and photos

Lunch

The premier event is the Centenary Lunch at the Talk of the Terrace Restaurant, Carrow Road in Norwich on Thursday July 12.    Tickets will be £30 for 3 courses including wine and we can accommodate about 300 people.

Our speaker at the lunch is Helen McDermott, a local lady who used to be on TV and is now on BBC local radio.

Clubs have been allocated tickets pro rata to their member numbers and letters to this effect have been sent to the Ladies Club Secretary.   It is up to clubs to decide how to allocate these tickets.

Clubs must take up their allocation by the end of March when all remaining tickets will be on open sale.

All Past County Officers (President, County Captain, Secretary and Treasurer), and current members of the County Executive Committee, will be invited individually, so they do not have to be considered in relation to the club allocation.

Other items

Ø      All club members will receive a memento pen and during the year bag towels will be on sale.
